It's been a little while

Hello all,

Sorry its been a little while since I've updated things on our main site and our blog, but here's a little something for ya. First of all thank you all for your patience with me while Pastor Bob has been out of town. Things have been very busy and he will be returning around Aug. 12 or so, but please continue to keep them in your prayers while they are gone. We are continuing this Sunday with our "Identity Theft" series. Last week we talked about the lie that Satan tells us "I have to be strong" Well, this week we'll be talking about another lie we here and it says "This is Just the Way I Am" You'll want to be here this Sunday for that. If you need anything please feel free to contact me via phone or email. My address is jpankhurst@4nlf.com If you email me with something I will probably get back quicker. Thanks so much and I'll see you soon!

Hola!

Hello all, welcome to the New Life Fellowship of Orange Park blog! I'm so glad you came to check us out. I am Jared Pankhurst the Associate Pastor/Worship Leader/Head Blogger guy and whatever other hats need to be worn guy here at NLF. If you've never been to visit us before, we'd love for you to come check us out. We do live music with a modern style that your whole family can enjoy. Our KidZone has just undergone some awesome renovations and you can be sure that not only will they have an awesome time with our KidMO! and Lil' K programs, but will also be well taken care of by our awesomely committed workers (my wife included!- Money back guarantee on her!). Can't miss breakfast on a Sunday morning? No Problem, we've got it waiting on you, and our lead pastor Rob Morro will have an awesome message for you that will inspire and encourage you. At New Life, we know that you want to know how God is relevant today. Come on in and we'll show you! By the way, don't worry about getting all dressed up to go to church unless you want to. I'll be wearing jeans this Sunday so if I'm not expected to dress up, we certainly don't expect you to if you're more comfortable in your denim. The fact of the matter is God loves you and you are important to Him, so we are going to treat you as important to us. Casual Environment...Serious Faith. That's us. Come check us out. We're in the Blanding Business Park at 1045 Blanding Blvd. in Orange Park, FL just across from Ace Hardware. We'll be looking for you this Sunday.

New Poll and Update

Hi everybody,

Glad you visited us here at the blog! I just wanted to let you know about a few things. First of all if you came over from our website, you may have realized that it has been a bit slow. We have been OVERLOADED at 4nlf.com so much so that our web host had to put us on a larger server! If you are having trouble navigating on the site, please be patient. Our new site should be up and running in the near future.

There is a poll to vote on here at the blog, take a sec to vote in it. Also, if anyone is still interested in our new class coming up on Wednesday nights, shoot me an email at jpankhurst@4nlf.com

Hope everyone is having a great week and remember to be here this Sunday for our 4th installment of "The Family Channel" This week the message is "The Osbournes: Dealing with your dysfunctional parents" This should be a really fun one. As always we'll have great music, food, and lots of fun for your kids. Also, I'll let you in on a little secret...We'll have a short preview for our next series and it will certainly make you want to see more!

Another thing about this Sunday, we will be having a short communion service following our regular service. After the main service is over, you can pick your children up and we'll begin our communion (or Lord's supper, if you prefer) service. It is a very special time when Christians can celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus.

One more thing...We've got two BIG July events coming up in a couple of weeks. First of all we have a block party on the 21st. We'll have food, music, bounce houses for the kids, and kind of an "open house" for our church. It starts at 5pm. The next day we'll have our second "Preview service" and our final "Family Channel" Sunday.

Lots going on and we hope you'll continue to be a part of it, or if you haven't checked us out yet, we welcome you to come and "kick the tires of church"!

See you Sunday!

Happy B-lated 4th and other NLF news!

Hello everyone,

Before we get to this week's news I'd like to say Happy 4th (on the 5th). I hope everyone had a great 4th of July yesterday and the subsequent food, fireworks, and sitting on the couch watching the hot dog eating contest!

Anyways, here is the NLF news for the week! First of all we are headed into week number three of the series "The Family Channel". This week's topic is "The Brady's: The challenge of the blended family". Many people come from blended families these days. Maybe you did. Maybe you're part of one. Maybe you know someone who is. Whatever the case, it is important to understand the struggles that these families go through regardless of what kind of family you are from. We'll take a look at what scripture says about being a Godly family and you'll want to be here on Sunday morning for that. Don't forget, we'll have food, coffee, and a great time for your kids in the KidZone too, as well as praise and worship music as always.

Also, if you have been visiting with us recently and are interested in becoming a member of New Life, or have recently prayed and accepted Christ, we'd like to invite you to be a part of our New Beginnings 101 class. This class will take only 4 weeks and will be held here at NLF on Wednesday nights beginning July 11 at 7pm. The class only lasts about an hour and child care will be provided as well as pizza at 6:30. I (Jared) will be leading this class and I promise not to make it boring. If you are interested at all, please check the box on your connection card this Sunday and also make sure that you sign up on the sign up sheet that will be here this Sunday as well so that we will have enough materials for everyone.

One last thing, if you are interested in being involved in one of the many ministry opportunities we have here at New Life we would love to have you get involved. We especially have a need for an extra pair of hands in the KidZone. So if you are interested in our KidZone ministry (only once a month!) , our audio/visual ministry or maybe as a greeter or a parking attendant send me an email, call me, or put it on your connection card this Sunday and we'll get back to ya.

I hope all is well with everyone and we'll see you this Sunday.

Mid-Week Update

Hi everybody. Just wanted to remind everyone that week 2 of our "The Family Channel" series will be this Sunday. Pastor Bob's message this week is "The Simpsons- The Challenge of the Child-Centered Family". The service will begin about 11AM, but come early to check your kids into the KidZone or for some coffee/breakfast. I know many of you may be out of town with it being 4th of July weekend so if you are be safe and if you aren't, be here! Can't wait to see you this Sunday! Oh by the way, if you are interested in any of our new Bible studies that we'll be starting up soon, or if you are interested in helping serve in some way (usher, KidZone helper, greeter, parking, etc.) let me know or you can let us know when you fill out your connection card this Sunday. Thanks again and hope the rest of your week is awesome!
